The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.

NOTE: Get support at the offsite forums instead. Before you ask, remember this: try a clean install first. (make sure you delete the folder are the uninstall) - The install order is for the latest version is: Gen. > ZH > ZH 1.04 patch > Shw 1.1 * If you're using The First Decade, you need not install the 1.04 patch as TFD comes with it.


problems on the first try, uninstall Zero Hour and reinstall it to the default directory, which should be C:\Program Files\EA Games\. If you choose to install into a different directory, keep a note of where you have installed it.)


the terms of the license agreement, it will ask for a directory for the modification to be installed to. Using the browse feature, go to the following, default installation directory on your computer: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour. If you installed it to a different directory, then this is the point in which you need to browse to find the folder you installed Zero Hour to.


browse to the folder where Zero Hour is installed and look for a file named !ShW_ini.gib. If you can find this file then the installation has been successful. Otherwise, you may need to uninstall ShockWave and try it again, this time installing to the proper location.

At first thanks for the shockwave model made group,but i feel pity that shockwave1.1 have serious bug. If you play it use china,you will find all the chinese huge tank(Emperor Overlord)can not shot to infantry by their cannon and sometimesthey can not fire to vehicle by cannon very well. if the Emperor Overload meet three RPG man.I guess the huge tank can't resist to them until it is be destroyed unless the huge tank update missile or scatter-gun.


I do wonder to correct the problem if i can.but i just a player. I Don,t know the technique detail. I hope mod group can solute it. I support your work.if you are busy,tell me how to do,how to modify? what knowlege I shoud have? I'm glad that the other unit is very nomal,very wonderful. I expect the shockwave1.2 Will be released because of the bug. Thank you again.


Hey I'm trying yo figure out how to get the mod to work it keeps telling me I put it in the wrong folder but it is in the command and conquer folder I am though running both generals and zwro hour of a pack command and conqure the first decade do you need the original disk set or would this still work


like a briefly said in my past comment, you can only mix mods that do not alter the same files, say i download mod x and it modifies INIZH.big then i cant go and download Mod y which also modifies INIZH.big as the one that was installed last will overwrite mod x's changes and then mod x will either not work or thell be errors in the game or you'll get a crash "serious error" unlike mods such as shockwave were SWR have made there own .BIG files another mod that alters INIZH.big can me installed and wont effect it


Uberlord doesn't exist in crazymod 0.55but it Does exist in here:Moddb.comwait for version 0.6, don't ask whenand NEVER ask help in shockwave, because they did not made crazymod, they just helped


Okay first off, can you at least download it alright? If you've got it downloaded, run the installer, and when it asks where to put the mod, hit browse and select your Zero Hour folder. Then it should install fine.


  • You will definitely need a no-cd crack. Disk detection doesn't work.

  • You might need to install the 32-bit libmpg123

  • You might need to create "My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\options.ini" manually (see the ZH thread for more details

  • You might need to install d3dx9 with winetricks

  • You might need to disable the GLSL shaders in wine config


ShockWave adds a number of new units and abilities to each of the nine Zero Hour generals and their normal 'vanilla' factions. Many of the additional units are based upon ideas that were clearly intended to be included in Zero Hour's original release.


In addition to the extra units, Zero Hour originally intended to present the player with three (not merely one) boss generals in the Generals' Challenge, and include missions featuring General Fai and General Juhziz (which were missing from the final release). Playing the Generals' Challenge mode in unmodified versions of the game will eventually see the player stand off against a Chinese General named Leang, who commands the technology of all three factions at the end.


However, the boss Generals Ironside (of the USA) and Mohmar 'Deathstrike' (of the GLA) were eliminated before the game's release, although their voiceovers and portraits are contained in the game files (but lacking a challenge map). In addition, General Fai's (of China) challenge mission was also removed. However, General Juhziz (of the GLA) still had a partially complete challenge map. All three of these boss-generals have been modified and included in ShockWave, utilizing the tactics and abilities for which they were supposedly originally intended to command. The Generals' Challenge mission featuring General Juhziz was completed and added back into the game (but General Fai's mission was not).


Rise of the Reds is a Command and Conquer Generals Zero hour Mod. Some say it's the spiritual sequal to Generals. They have their own multiplayer integrated with the modification. A major thing is you need too make sure you have is your command and conquer generals updated to 1.8 and your generals zero hour to 1.4. Another important thing is after downloading and installing Rise of the reds 1.85 you'll need to download and install the Rise of the Reds 1.86 Patch.


I tried the fix posted on the help forum but deleting the file didn't fix generals zero hour problem ( Please make sure you have Direct X 8.1 or higher installed. Also that your video card meets the minimum requirements.) this ran on my pc for months so not the video card also the generals runs fine just not zero hour. anyone know how to fix this?

Shockwave led an attack on a human village, intending to raze it and build a fuel plant in its place. Confident that the Autobots wouldn't learn about the attack until it would be too late for them to do anything about it, Shockwave tasked the Constructicons with building his installation. Little did he suspect that Cosmos was spying on them from orbit. A convoy of trucks and cars soon arrived, claiming to be hauling supplies for Shockwave and his troops. Angered and confused by this interruption, Shockwave demanded to see the supplies he was certain he had never ordered. From within the vehicles stepped out the Dinobots. Alongside the Autobots in disguise, they proceeded to trounce Shockwave's troops. Shockwave ordered Ravage and Kickback to flank the new arrivals and attack them from behind, but this tactic proved futile, as Cosmos was still spying down on the scene.
