Huawei Y9 2019 listed on TENAA – Specifications revealed
Incidentally, MSP Gear was one of the first platforms to spot the report about a Huawei smartphone codenamed JKM-AL00. Looking at the specifications and details mentioned on the TENNA listing, we had confidently predicted the device could be the 2019 Edition of the Huawei Y9. The new report corroborates the information. Thereafter, another TENNA listing with a slightly different name appeared. The listing mentioned the model number JKM-AL00a. This confirmed the suspicions that Huawei is indeed developing a new variant of the Huawei Y9 (2019). The report also included images of the device, but the new leak reveals the several colour options in which the Huawei Y9 (2019) will launch.
A week after the Huawei ARS-AL00 / ARS-TL00, Huawei JKM-AL00 has been certified by TENAA, which is said to be released as Y9 (2019). This reveals a similar design and specifications as the Honor 8X that was introduced earlier this month. This reveals a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with narrow bezels and 91% screen-to-body ratio, 20-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, AI scene recognition, 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portrait shots and 16-megapixel front camera.
No reports have confirmed the dates for the official unveiling of the phone yet. The details around the price point and camera specifications have not been revealed either. In the advent of the iPhones and Android phones with multiple smart features, Nokia is currently trying to find a strong footing in the industry. Hopefully, Nokia 1 Plus will allow them to capture and retain the budget smartphone audience. Sadly, as it stands the only Nokia phone people would be able to name if you asked the person the street would be the 3310 from yesteryear when pay as you go vouchers and Snake were the cutting edge of the mobile world. Will that change? We hope so, more competition is always a good thing.
