Once again, Analog Obsession offers a compelling take on the LA-2A that you can download for free. But with so many excellent plugins in their bundle, consider supporting them if you download them all!
Plugin Alliance has a great selection of eminently musical, useful plugins many of which are optimized for both AAX DSP and native environments. Authorization allotments are very fair and managing auths could not be easier. Most important, the Alliance listens to users and focuses that input on innovation and product improvement.

I've been extremely vocal about a number of the Plugin Alliance tools that I use in my production and mixing. The bx_digital V3, Vertigo VSC-2 and VSM-3 have been in every single mix since they've been available. The new Acme Opticom is quickly becoming another one of those plugins as well. Plugin Alliance provides an invaluable set of tools that I just can't live without if I want to get the job done.
What I love most about Plugin Alliance, is the vast amount of incredibly useful and amazing sounding plugins that are AAX DSP, giving me the ability to work with very powerful and creative tools without having to sacrifice my workflow while tracking.
All Plugin Alliance guitar and bass amp modellers have pretty much replaced what I've been using up to this point. The prime reason is character -- they don't sound like plugins, especially anyone else's plugins, which, to a certain extent, I've found sound a bit 'the same.'
Blue Cat Audio's free plugins have had a staple presence in my arsenal since the first time I came across them. Free or not, these plugins maintain a distinct flavour that makes them my absolute go-to plugins when the situation calls for it.
This group of plugins has the added bonus of full automation and MIDI interfacing, and a standardized configuration template that easily melds them into any DAW configuration. They couldn't be easier to use at any experience level, allow very fine incremental adjustments, and are thoroughly optimized for resource consumption. - Max Debutante
This is actually the case with the latest versions of all MeldaProduction plugins. Their interfaces are now GPU accelerated, fully resizable, and packed with tons of customization features, all of that without affecting the CPU performance. There are loads of different color schemes to choose from, as well as an array of knobs, sliders, and other GUI elements that can be changed by the user.
I do understand that the company prefers to distribute all of their plugins in a single package so that the users can install a large number of products more easily, but this method causes unnecessary bulk when trying to install just a single plugin (or only a few of them).
i agree. downloading a huge pack of data for every single update with 99 percent included not needed plug ins is pure space and time waste. i dont know why they cant offer single downloads, best format archive, and beside that the pack.i dont like it too, i heard from plugins of that developer time to time, but because of that i everytime get headache and did not tried it till today. if they would chance for more user friendly ideas im sure i would try and use their plug ins. very bad
You can't stop technological progress. As the world of computers evolves, we evolve too. As a result of the hard work, observing and testing in our studios, we are bringing a new version of all our plugins that reflects the current (and future) state of technologies and DAW applications, and it will help you squeeze the most of your computers.
Every progress has its casualties. In this case, it means V16 no longer provides 32-bit plugins on Windows (Although you should be able to run V15 32-bit along with V16. Simply do not uninstall V15 and do not perform plugin cleanup). Backwards compatibility is intact, however, note that there is a new optimized storage system using a new format. If you save projects with the latest version, old versions won't be able to read the settings.
Metaplugin lets me use older, weirder, unsupported or more esoteric plugins to get some uncommon design effects and keep my sound palette wider and more unique. It keeps me outside the box when the show calls for it. ( Jon Greasley, TV and movie sound designer)
Physical Audio exists to push the boundaries of real-time physical modelling synthesis. We create audio plugins using pure numerical modelling of acoustic systems such as bars, strings, plates and connecting elements. These techniques produce physical models that have real acoustic qualities and dynamic expression, without using any samples or impulse responses.
The plugins are available in most popular formats for PC and Mac. The copy protection is made possible through an easy to use license file. One of the great features MeldaProduction provides is a free-for-life updates policy. You can activate their plugins on any number of computers that you personally own. In addition, the software is available with fully functional 15-day trials, so you can take your time and check out any of their plugins.
There are quite a few ways to control the switching between the 108 sequences on board. You can manually click the buttons on the MRhythmizer display with your mouse, use your MIDI keyboard, set up host automation, or use a MIDI pad controller. Yet another way to switch between them is to let the modulators in the plugin do the work for you. Modulating any parameter is possible using the modulation sources, such as LFOs, pitch detectors, audio level followers and envelope generators. Just like with the other plugins, you have access to other toolbars on the right side to check metering, use the X/Y pad morph function and much more.
With that said, if you want to learn more about mixing be sure to check out some of our other videos and blog posts where you can find not only more lists for plugins, but mix tutorials, mastering tutorials, and so on.
Waves' L1 Ultramaximizer, released in 1994, became a prominent plugin, with some publications pointing to it as contributing to the "loudness war" behind modern music mastering.[6] Record producer Tony Maserati said of early Waves software, "[they] were the only plugins [that were] quality and they were creative."[7] Waves later launched a signature line of Maserati inspired plugins.
Xfer Records OTT. Xfer Records is a brand that specializes in plugins for electronic musicians. It already has a few classics on its sleeve, like "Serum" (wavetable synth), "LFO Tool" (sidechain) and OTT (multiband compressor). Although the latter is regarded as a Swiss army knife in the electronic scene, it can be of great use for traditional mix tasks too. For instance, if you want to apply Over The Top compression on a snare, guitar or vocal, then OTT can give you results that are hard to achieve with other tools. Another great advantage: compared to common multiband compressors, this plugin has way less controls.
Tritik Krush. Tritik is a relatively new brand with some excellent plugins. Echorus for instance, is one of the best choruses around, although it will set you back a free bucks. "Krush" on the other hand is free and offers an LFO that can rhythmically modulate distortion parameters like "drive," "crush" and "dwsp" (downsampling). Dry/Wet allows dialing in the effect to taste.
Melda Productions Manalyzer This plugin's display can be tailor made in almost every respect, although it may take you some time to find out how. In the corresponding "Free"-bundle, Melda has other interesting plugins too.
Brainworx bx_solo. On first sight, this plugin category doesn't contain the most sexy plugins. But many recurring tasks couldn't be accomplished without them. bx_solo for instance, allows swapping channels left-right in the stereo image, mono them, or solo one of the stereo sides.
Voxengo MSED is a tool that roughly gets bx-solo tasks done, but it also allows Mid-Side processing in mastering. By first choosing "Encode" as a "Mode," the Mid and Side channels can be processed independently with plugins that normally allow stereo processing only. Just add a second instance of MSED following this plugin and choose "Decode" as a "Mode". 2ff7e9595c
